WordPress is one of the most popular content management systems (CMS) used to create and administer websites. Below are some interesting facts about this platform:

Founding: The platform appeared in 2003 as a spin-off of the b2/cafelog project. Two developers, Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little, worked on its creation. The initial goal was to develop a simple but functional system for blogs.
Global leadership: Today, WordPress is the leader among all CMSs and powers more than 43% of all websites on the internet.
Open source: The system is completely free and distributed with open source code, giving users and developers the freedom to modify and adapt it to their own needs.
Active community: A large community has formed around WordPress — developers, designers, content managers, and enthusiasts regularly participate in the development of the platform and exchange experiences.
Flexibility and scalability: WordPress easily adapts to any task, whether it's a simple blog, corporate website, online store, or media platform. This is achieved thanks to thousands of available themes and plugins.
SEO capabilities: The platform provides built-in search engine optimization features and is compatible with popular SEO plugins — all of which help improve a website's search engine rankings.
